Mogi

Graffiti artist “Mogi”

Mogi

The half-Korean Mogi (Christian Yun-Song Meyerholz) grew up in Germany and dedicated himself to graffiti art and music since his youth.Due to regular visits to his family he established an emotional relationship to Korean culture very early.

After years of working in local recording studios and various collaborations with several German artists he started to study communications design with special emphasis on audiovisual media at HBK Braunschweig. During a stay in Korea he got to know graffiti artists Artime Joe and Jay Flow with whom he then founded the Seoulmates Crew (SM8) in 2006.

As a result of graffiti collaborations in Germany, Poland, Spain, France, Korea, Japan and India he has been largely influenced by different styles. His works in which also influences from JNJ Crew can be found tend to appear friendly and colourful. In order to bridge cultures Mogi travels the world and uses graffiti as a universal mode of communication. The foundation of the Seoulmates Crew has been the result of long lasting contacts with protagonists of the Korean      graffiti scene.
